In Antique as found condition - Some dents on the base - wear to the chrome finish - missing the screw to hold the telescoping rod in place when raised

Hugh Lyons & Co., established in 1888 and self-billed as "the world's largest makers" of store fixtures, retail display items and wax figures. In addition to showcases, the company manufactured store fixtures and retail display items, as well as their patented hat conformator, which claimed to shape a hat precisely to the buyer's head, thereby making a new hat feel as comfortable as an old one. Hugh Lyons went on to bigger things, as an initial investor of the REO Motor Co. and, later, as a mayor of Lansing from 1904-1907.
